Eastern Engineering Group can perform Specialty Structural Inspections in accordance with permitting agency requirements, to verify compliance of construction works with all permitted documents.
Eastern Engineering Group will furnish the Client with a letter from a Licensed Engineer, addressing whether the inspected elements are certifiable.
In order to ensure structural component conformance of larger structures, the state of Florida Building Construction Standards has enacted Chapter 553, which defines a “threshold” building as: “Any building which is greater than three stories or 50 feet in height, or which has an assembly occupancy classification that exceeds 5,000 square feet in area, and an occupant capacity of greater than 500 persons.” This standard also specifies that a building of this size must have threshold inspector services, including a final conformance certification by a qualified Special Inspector.
Eastern Engineering Group possesses a license of special inspector as required by the state of Florida and is able and ready to perform inspections during the construction phase in accordance with the Threshold Inspection plan prepared by your Engineer of Record. The primary goal of the inspections will be to verify compliance of construction works with the approved permit plans and documents. Letters addressing the state of compliance of the building, required for permitting procedures, are included as part of the scope of work for all of Eastern Engineering Group’s threshold inspections.
