During the construction stage, Eastern Engineering Group provided critical revisions and corrections in response to Requests For Information (RFIs), addressing any issues that arose. Additionally, we performed Threshold Inspections, carrying out meticulous field inspections to assess the structural conditions of the work in progress and ensure compliance with the permitted plans and drawings.
Fun Facts
Did You Know that the addition of the Threshold Inspection in Florida’s building code is a direct response to the collapse of the Harbor Cay Condominium in March 1981? This tragic event highlighted the need for stricter structural oversight. For a Threshold Inspection to be required, Florida statutes mandate that the building must either be greater than three stories or exceed 50 feet in height. Alternatively, it can also apply to buildings that house at least 500 persons or have an assembled occupancy greater than 5,000 square feet.
