Wynwood View Apartments is an eight-story affordable senior housing community in the vibrant Allapattah neighborhood of Miami. Designed by Burgos Lanza & Associates, this 166,000-square-foot community features 120 affordable rental units, 6,700 square feet of retail space, and 62 parking spaces. The building has a community room and fitness center, providing ample opportunities for residents to socialize and stay active. Completed in 2020, Wynwood View Apartments present a harmonious blend of functionality and style. With 108 one-bedroom units and 12 two-bedroom units, this community offers a variety of comfortable living spaces to meet different needs. Structural Engineering Firm: Eastern Engineering Group

Eastern Engineering Group was responsible for designing and providing structural calculations and drawings for the new 8-story structure, consisting of reinforced masonry walls, reinforced concrete columns, post-tension slabs for the floor and roof systems, and pre-cast joists at the gymnasium. Our team worked diligently to ensure that all applicable building codes and standards were met. Additionally, we offered construction administration services to support the project’s success, including reviewing shop drawings and calculations, making revisions and corrections as necessary, and coordinating proceedings.

Fun Facts

Did you know that the project Wynwood View Apartments aimed to alleviate the shortage of affordable housing for seniors living off social security? The development included a total of 48 units specifically designated for seniors with incomes up to 60% of the area median income. Not only that, but the project also provided additional apartments for seniors with incomes up to 100% of the area median income. By catering to the specific needs of the senior population, Wynwood View Apartments played a crucial role in addressing the pressing issue of affordable housing in Miami, ensuring that seniors could find a safe place to call home.
