Raissa R. Lopez, P.E. obtained her Civil Engineer degree in La Habana, Cuba in 1990. After emigrating to the US in 1995, she acquired her Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, and in 2003 she became a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Since the beginning of her professional life, she specialized in Structural Engineering and up to date has gained over 25 years of experience in the structural engineering field. Mrs. Lopez has worked in Florida and Nevada, and has reciprocated her professional license in 9 other states, including Massachusetts, Ohio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Baltimore to perform projects in those states.
The expertise of Mrs. Lopez ranges from new construction for commercial, residential, educational facilities and marine projects, to remodeling and renovations projects for the public and private sector. Her engineering skills cover structural designs for reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and aluminum, as well as preparation of specifications, construction project management, periodic site visits and structural inspections, including inspections for Threshold Buildings. Mrs. Lopez is also very involved in the managerial side of the business, managing clients, educating employees, and employing marketing tactics for growing the business.
