Structural Assessments Inspection

Our engineers are licensed as Special Inspectors, which is required by the state of Florida to perform inspections during the construction phase. The primary goal will be to verify compliance of construction works with the approved permit plans and documents. Letters addressing the state of compliance of the building, required for permitting procedures, are included as part of our scope.

40/50-Year Recertification

Eastern Engineering Group has completed over 300 inspections required by Miami-Dade County. Once we’ve scheduled an appointment, one of our Professional Engineers will arrive at the site of inspection and carry out the standard procedure. We carry out inspections with the highest legal and ethical standards, making sure to inspect every structure thoroughly. We will also prepare the letter you will need to present to the city.

Threshold Inspections

The state of Florida defines a “threshold” building as: “Any building which is greater than three stories or 50 feet in height, or which has an assembly occupancy classification that exceeds 5,000 square feet in area, and an occupant capacity of greater than 500 persons.” It is required by the Florida Building Code that a building of this size must have threshold inspection services, including a final conformance certification by a qualified Special Inspector.

Structural Inspections include but are not limited to: Trusses Over 35ft Long Or 6ft High, Reinforced Masonry, Steel Connections, Soil Compaction, Precast Units & Attachments, Curtain Walls, Structural Glazing, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, and others. Concrete Restoration Inspections

When a structure needs repairs, our team of structural inspectors can do a pre-restoration assessment of damaged existing concrete, and we can also perform the inspection after repairs are done to ensure the structure is safe. Contact us today for more information!
